Convention Pool

By the Borradaile Challenge standards, each chapter is required to send two delegates to National Convention. If the chapter president is attending, he should register as the "head delegate." If the chapter president is not attending, the highest ranking chapter officer should register as the head delegate. Any other chapter member should register as an "alternate delegate."

Each chapter has a Convention Pool of $1,200 to offset the cost of registration (as long as a chapter has kept its account current).

For the 2012 Convention, the Convention Pool is applied as follows: A single registration is $635*. This fee covers all transportation to/from the hotel and to/from events, all meals that are part of the Convention, basic hotel room charges, all Convention sessions, and all Convention-related events.

At the time of registration, each person is asked to submit a payment of $35* toward registration. The remaining $600 balance for each registration ($635 minus the initial $35 payment) is to be resolved by the chapter's Convention Pool, individual registrant, or chapter/BOG/House Corp (or a combination).

There is no limit to the number of attending members per chapter. Those chapter members who are not either the head delegate or alternate delegate can take part in all Convention activities except for direct participation in Convention floor debate.
