Presidents Academy

PRESIDENTS_ACADMEY_LOGOPresidents Academy is designed for new presidents to learn their role within the chapter and to learn about the four pillars of a successful chapter president:
  • Leading effective chapter meetings
  • Leading an effective executive council
  • Creating constructive relationships beyond the Resident Council
  • Taking positive action in critical incidents
Activities and events at Presidents Academy include:
  • Small-group interaction with other chapter presidents
  • Case-study and simulation of critical incidents
  • Panel discussions with key Phi Kappa Tau stakeholders

The total event registration cost is $50 and is due at the time of registration. Because the chapter has already paid for the majority of the event via chapter dues, it is the responsibility of the chapter president to pay the remaining $50 balance. If the chapter operational budget has the funds to pay the remaining balance, approval for use is at the discretion of the chapter's executive council. If the chapter has a CEG Fund, it may also be used to pay the remaining balance and approval for use is at the discretion of the BOG chairman.
