David Reed, Indiana U of Pennsylvania ’98 will receive an honor from his campus for his service to the Indiana County and Western Pennsylvania. While a student Reed worked as an admissions recruitment volunteer. After graduating from IUP in 2000, he earned a master’s degree in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Reed completed an internship in the Governor’s Policy Office for Community and Economic Development in Harrisburg. He also coordinated special projects for the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce and was director of the Blairsville Improvement Group. In 2002, Reed won the seat for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives 62nd Legislative District and said his education has been a major factor.
