American History TV toured some of the oldest rooms in the U.S. Capitol with Senator Mitch McConnell, Louisville ’61. We hear about the historic events that occurred in what is now the Republican Leader’s Suite — the very rooms that, early in the 19th century, hosted the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and Library of Congress. Senator McConnell takes us behind the scenes into the Republican Leader’s conference room and his private office. And he recalls his own political career and the historic moments in which he has participated.
