On Sunday, April 3, Epsilon attended the 23rd Chapter of Excellence Awards Ceremony at the Mount Union and received 13 awards and 24 recognitions.

The Chapter of Excellence Awards is a time for the campus fraternity and sorority community to come together and recognize and celebrate their efforts throughout the 2015-16 academic year. Mount Union’s three other fraternities, four sororities, and other academic officials were in attendance.

Throughout the ceremony, there are three areas chapters can win awards from; three academic honors, ten chapter of excellence awards, and nine individual award recognitions. Epsilon received two academic awards, highest new member class GPA and highest chapter GPA. Epsilon received seven chapter of excellence awards including excellence in scholarship programming, excellence in community service, excellence in philanthropy, excellence in involvement and leadership, excellence in recruitment, improvement in risk management, and chapter of excellence recognition.

Lastly, Epsilon received three awards in the individual award portion of the event. Recognition including the brotherhood award presented to Alec McGinnis Mount Union ’14, advisor of the year presented to Drew Canavan Mount Union, and outstanding senior fraternity man presented to Michael Gates Mount Union ’12. The chapter also received recognition for 24 members’ awards for their services to campus organizations including Order of Omega, Greek Member Academy and Up ‘til Dawn.
