Phi Kappa Tau is currently accepting applications to fill the Dean of Presidents Academy volunteer role.
The Presidents Academy Dean will:
- Serve as the lead volunteer responsible for working with Executive Office Staff to design and develop the curriculum of a particular Phi Kappa Tau Educational Program.
- Help oversee the delivery of the designated educational program to ensure that objectives are met
- Function as the primary point of contact for communication with other Facilitators and Executive Office staff regarding designated educational program
If appointed as Dean, your commitment would begin in the Fall of 2016, shadowing the current Dean of the Program and taking over after Presidents Academy in January 2017. A brief description of the program can be found below:
Presidents Academy is designed for new presidents to gain a deeper understanding of the responsibilities of a chapter president. Participants learn to effectively lead chapter meetings, lead an effective Executive Council, create constructive relationships beyond the Resident Council and take positive action during challenging times. Participants also create connections with chapter and Fraternity leaders, enhance their communication skills and leave with a plan for positive change in the chapter.
Applications are due Friday, October 21 at 5 p.m. and only completed applications will be eligible. Following the review of applications, we will then reach out to set up interviews with those selected to move on in the process.
