Phi Kappa Tau is proud to offer 10 outstanding national programs.

As a part of our efforts to turn men of character into MEN OF DISTINCTION, Phi Kappa Tau offers a series of national programs to foster leadership, service, and communication skills among our members.We believe these programs give young men the best opportunity to further their personal development and prepare for leadership roles the rest of their lives.

National Convention

National Convention is the supreme legislative body of the Fraternity. Held biennially, National Convention is designed for legislative purposes to elect officers, vote on constitutional changes, discuss the future of the organization, and celebrate brotherhood.

The 64th National Convention will be held in Fort Worth, Texas, July 2020.

Conclave

Held in alternating years to National Convention, Conclave is Phi Kappa Tau’s homecoming event. At Conclave, brothers gather at Miami University - the birthplace of Phi Kappa Tau - to celebrate fellowship, receive yearly awards, and celebrate chapter as well as individual victories.

The next conclave will be held in July 2019.

Presidents Academy

Designed to train newly-elected chapter presidents, Presidents Academy teaches undergraduate leadership how to effectively host chapter meetings, improve communication with their Board of Governors, and take positive action during challenging times. Participants leave with a strategic plan to enact positive change within their chapter.

Volunteer Development Institute

Held simultaneously to Presidents Academy, Volunteer Development Institute, or VDI, is designed for volunteers who work directly with chapters. VDI is focused on training volunteers to work with today’s college students as well as and communicating an intensive understanding of Phi Kappa Tau as a national organization and its policies.

leadership academy

Leadership Academy is designed for any and all Phi Kappa Tau emerging leaders. Leadership Academy gives brothers the opportunity to identify their own skills, leadership style, and how to use their core values to be more effective and ethical leaders. This four-day program is offered in three sessions across the United States throughout the summer.

Regional Conferences

Regional Conferences are a one-day leadership development and officer training program offered across our nine geographic regions throughout the spring. With an emphasis on recruitment, prevention, and leadership, Regional Conferences are designed so undergraduate members can return to their chapters with a plan for a healthy chapter and growth.

Building Men of Character Retreat

Designed for entire chapters to participate, the Building Men of Character Retreat is locally delivered so chapters can work on assessment, improvement, and goal setting. Our retreat leaders will help chapters discover their vision, goals, and what you want your chapter to be and how to accomplish that.

Good to Great Retreats

A Good to Great retreat is custom designed program for chapters/colonies to focus on self identified areas of improvement which will allow opportunities for the greatest level of change.

National Community
Service Event

National Community Service Events are a one-day service event hosted at SeriousFun camps across the country. Two National Community Service Events are hosted in the Spring semester and one during the Fall semester.

Volunteer Certification

Volunteer Certification is an online training certification required for all volunteers before they are able to serve on a Board of Governors.
