Phi Tau Thursdays
Phi Tau Thursdays are monthly, informal alumni gatherings held in cities across the country—on the first Thursday of every month at 6 PM. They’re simple, no-pressure events designed to rekindle Brotherhood, spark local connections, and keep the spirit of Phi Kappa Tau alive long after graduation. Whether you’re new to town or have been in the same city for decades, this is your chance to grab a drink, share a story, and meet Brothers from all walks of life.
No RSVP. No agenda. Just show up.
All Phi Taus in good standing are welcome—any chapter, any class year. These open-door meetups are about building something that lasts: meaningful connections, lifelong friendships, and a stronger alumni network in your city. Want to host a gathering near you? It’s easy—and we’ll give you everything you need to get started.

Phi Tau Thursdays are informal, monthly alumni gatherings held on the first Thursday of each month at 6 PM in cities across the country. They are designed to rekindle Brotherhood, provide easy touchpoints for connection, and build local alumni communities.
-
Any Phi Kappa Tau brother/alumnus in good standing is welcome to attend, no invitation or RSVP required. Brothers from any chapter and era are encouraged to come together.
-
Nope! Just show up. The events are casual, open-door gatherings. If you’d like to host, however, we do ask that you sign up via the interest form.
-
Easy. Fill out the Phi Tau Thursdays Interest Form to let us know your city, venue suggestion, and mailing address. You’ll receive a Leader Toolkit with everything you need to launch your local event.
-
Each Leader Toolkit includes:
Branded signage and check-in materials
Stickers and Phi Tau swag
Monthly talking points and event tips
Reporting form for event feedback
-
We ask that you:
Choose a venue (bar, brewery, restaurant, etc.)
Arrive 15 minutes early
Welcome Brothers and check them in
Take a few photos and share feedback after the event
Repeat monthly (if you’re willing—we make it easy!)
-
The National Headquarters provides:
Toolkit supplies and monthly updates
Social media and email promotion
A dedicated event landing page and city listings
Onboarding and support communication for all leaders
-
That’s okay. New things take time. Share photos of your setup anyway and keep showing up. With consistent promotion and local word-of-mouth, momentum will build.
-
We recommend hosting in your current city to help build real connections. If you want to help organize something for another city, reach out to our alumni team—we may be able to find a co-host.
-
Phi Tau Thursdays are monthly and city-based, not tied to a single chapter or date. It’s about building local bonds and lifelong Brotherhood—not just celebrating once a year.
-
HQ will run national promotions, but local word-of-mouth matters most. Invite Brothers personally, post in alumni groups, and share your event on social media. We’ll provide graphics and sample messages to help.
-
To establish 20+ active cities by the end of Fall 2025, grow consistent alumni engagement, and keep Brotherhood alive and thriving beyond campus. This is just the beginning.
